Get instant push notifications on your phone when new leads come in. Pushover sends alerts directly to your mobile device - no need to check dashboards or email. Your phone buzzes, you see the lead, you follow up.
This integration is available on all plans, including Free.
How It Works
When a lead is captured on your site, Viewers sends a push notification to your phone via Pushover. You’ll see the lead’s name, email, company info (if enriched), and their message - all in a quick glance.
Perfect for solo operators, small teams, or anyone who wants to respond to leads immediately.
What You’ll Need
- A Pushover account (https://pushover.net)
- The Pushover app installed on your phone (iOS or Android)
- Your Pushover User Key

Configuration Options
Contact Types to Sync
Choose which modules should trigger push notifications. You might want all lead types, or only specific high-priority ones.
Available modules:
- Chat
- Feedback
- Custom
- Newsletter
- Share
- Contact Us
- Discount (Spin to Win)
For example, if chat messages require immediate attention but newsletter signups can wait, only select Chat.
Notification Type
Control which leads trigger notifications:
All Valid Emails Get notified for all contacts with verified email addresses. Use this if you want to see every lead the moment it comes in.
Enriched Leads Only Only get notified for contacts with enriched company/contact information (company name, phone, website, etc.). This filters out personal email addresses and unidentified leads.
Use enriched-only if you only want to be interrupted for qualified B2B leads.
What the Notification Looks Like
When a lead comes in, you’ll get a push notification with:
- Lead name and email
- Company name (if enriched)
- Their message or response
- Which module captured them
Tap the notification to see full details.
Best Practices
Be selective with contact types If you’re getting too many notifications, narrow it down to high-intent modules like Chat or Contact Us. You can still see all leads in your dashboard.
Use “Enriched Leads Only” to reduce noise If personal email signups aren’t worth interrupting your day, filter them out. Only get buzzed for leads with real company data.
Set up Pushover quiet hours In the Pushover app settings, you can configure quiet hours so you’re not woken up at 3 AM by a lead from another timezone.
Pair with other automations Pushover is great for awareness, but pair it with CRM or email automations for follow-up. Use Pushover to know instantly; use HubSpot or Zapier to actually work the lead.
Troubleshooting
Not receiving notifications?
- Double-check your User Key and API Token are correct
- Make sure the Pushover app is installed and you’re logged in
- Verify notifications are enabled in your phone’s settings for the Pushover app
- Check that the integration is saved and enabled in Viewers
- Confirm the lead type you’re testing is selected in “Contact Types to Sync”
Getting too many notifications?
- Switch to “Enriched Leads Only” to filter out personal email signups
- Uncheck modules that don’t require immediate attention
- Use Pushover’s quiet hours feature
Notifications stopped working?
- Your Pushover trial may have expired - purchase the app to continue
- Your API token may have been revoked - create a new one at pushover.net
- Check Pushover’s status page for any service issues
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Pushover free? Pushover has a 30-day free trial, then a one-time purchase of $4.99 per platform (iOS, Android, Desktop). There’s no monthly subscription for individuals.
Can I send notifications to multiple people? Not with a single User Key. Each person needs their own Pushover account. For team notifications, consider using Slack instead, or set up multiple Pushover automations with different User Keys.
Can I customize the notification sound? Yes, in the Pushover app settings. You can set different sounds for different apps, so Viewers leads have a distinct alert.
How quickly do notifications arrive? Instantly for “All Valid Emails.” For “Enriched Leads Only,” there may be a brief delay while enrichment completes.
Does this work on desktop? Pushover has a desktop client for macOS and a browser extension. Install those if you want notifications on your computer too.
Is this available on the Free plan? Yes. The Pushover integration is available on all Viewers plans. However, “Enriched Leads Only” filtering requires a PRO plan since enrichment is a PRO feature.
