How Lead Enrichment Data Works

Lead enrichment is what transforms a simple email address into a complete contact profile. When someone submits their email through your Viewers widget, we don’t just capture it - we find the person behind it.

This feature requires a PRO plan.

What Is Lead Enrichment?

On the Free plan, you capture email addresses. That’s useful, but it’s just a starting point.

On PRO plans, every captured email goes through our enrichment process. We take that single email address and return a full profile: phone number, business name, company details, social profiles, and even coworker emails at the same company.

One email in. A complete lead profile out.

Where Does the Data Come From?

We use several AI partners and data brokers to source and verify enrichment data. Before enrichment even begins, we verify that the email address is valid and deliverable - so you’re not wasting credits on fake or mistyped emails.

Once verified, we cross-reference multiple data sources to build the most accurate profile possible. Not every field will be populated for every lead (more on that below), but when data is available, we find it.

What Data You Get

Here’s what’s included in an enriched lead profile:

Contact Information

  • Email Address The email the visitor submitted. Verified as valid and deliverable before enrichment.
  • Phone Number A direct phone number for the contact when available. This might be a work line, direct dial, or mobile number depending on what’s on record.

Company Information

  • Business Name: The company the contact is associated with, based on their email domain and other signals.
  • Job Title: The role that the contact holds at the company (e.g. President, Co-Founder, etc).
  • Business Website: The company’s primary website URL.
  • Employee Count: An estimate of how many people work at the company. Useful for qualifying leads by company size.
  • Business Revenue: An estimate of annual revenue when available. Helps you prioritize high-value opportunities.
  • Business Socials: Links to the company’s social media profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

Coworker Data

  • Coworker Emails: Email addresses of other contacts at the same company. Useful for multi-threading your outreach or finding the right decision-maker if your original lead isn’t it.

Why Some Fields Are Blank

Not every lead will have every field populated. Here’s why:

  • Small or new businesses: Newer companies or sole proprietors may not have much public data available yet.
  • Personal email addresses: If someone submits a Gmail, Yahoo, or other personal email, there’s no company domain to enrich against. You’ll still get the verified email, but business fields will be empty.
  • Privacy-conscious individuals: Some people minimize their public footprint. If the data doesn’t exist publicly, we can’t find it.
  • Data timing: Business data changes - people switch jobs, companies rebrand, revenue fluctuates. Occasionally a field may be outdated or temporarily unavailable.
  • Invalid email: We skip emails that are detected to be fake or tied to an inactive inbox. These don’t count against your available credits.

The core contact info (email, and usually phone) is populated most often. Company details depend on whether the lead used a business email.

How to Use Enrichment Data

Enrichment isn’t just about having more data - it’s about using it to work smarter.

  • Prioritize leads by company size: Use Employee Count and Business Revenue to focus on leads that match your ideal customer profile. A 500-person company might get a call; a 5-person company might get an email sequence.
  • Reach out by phone: Email is crowded. A direct phone call stands out. Use the Phone Number field to skip the inbox and start a real conversation.
  • Multi-thread your outreach: If your lead isn’t responding, use Coworker Emails to find another contact at the same company. Sometimes you just need a different door.
  • Research before you reach out: Check the Business Website and Business Socials before your first call. A little research goes a long way toward a relevant, personalized pitch.
  • Score and segment automatically: Connect Viewers to your CRM via Zapier, HubSpot, or Salesforce and use enrichment fields to automatically score, tag, and route leads. High-revenue companies go to your senior rep; smaller leads go into a nurture sequence.

Enrichment and Your Credits

Each successfully enriched lead consumes one credit from your monthly allocation. Credits are only used when:

  • The email is verified as valid
  • The lead is unique (not a duplicate already in your account)
  • Enrichment data is appended

If an email fails verification or is a duplicate, no credit is used.

For more details on how credits work, see How Monthly Credits Work.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I get enrichment data on every lead? You get enrichment on every verified, unique lead captured on a PRO plan. However, not every field will be populated for every lead - it depends on what data is publicly available.
  • What if someone uses a personal email like Gmail? You’ll still capture and verify the email, but company-related fields (Business Name, Revenue, Coworkers, etc.) won’t be populated since there’s no business domain to enrich against.
  • How accurate is the data? We verify emails before enrichment and cross-reference multiple sources for other fields. No data source is perfect, but we prioritize accuracy over guessing. If we’re not confident in a data point, we leave it blank rather than show bad data.
  • Can I export enrichment data? Yes. When you export leads from your dashboard, all enrichment fields are included in the export.
  • Is enrichment available on the Free plan? No. Free plan leads are captured and verified, but not enriched. Upgrade to any PRO plan to unlock enrichment.
