If you no longer need your Viewers account, you can permanently close it from your Billing page. This guide explains the process and what to consider before closing.
Before You Close Your Account
Closing your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Before proceeding, consider these alternatives:
Downgrade to Free instead: If you want to stop paying but keep your data, switch to the Free Forever plan. Your leads, settings, and historical data remain intact, and you can upgrade again anytime.
Pause your widget: If you need a temporary break, you can disable your widget without closing your account. Your data stays safe and you can reactivate whenever you’re ready.
Export your leads first: If you might need your lead data in the future, export it before closing. Once your account is deleted, there’s no way to recover this information.
What Gets Deleted
When you close your account, the following data is permanently erased:
- All captured and enriched leads
- Website configurations and widget settings
- Team member accounts and permissions
- Integration connections (Zapier, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Billing history and invoices
- All account settings and preferences
This data cannot be recovered after deletion.
How to Close Your Account
- Log in to your Viewers dashboard
- Go to Billing
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Find the Close Account section
- Click Delete Your Account
- Read the confirmation warning carefully
- Confirm that you want to permanently delete your account
Your account and all associated data will be deleted immediately.
Can’t Sign In?
If you’ve forgotten your password or can’t access your account:
- Go to the Forgot Password page
- Enter the email address associated with your account
- Check your inbox for a password reset link
- Reset your password and sign in
- Follow the steps above to close your account

What Happens to Your Subscription
If you’re on a paid plan when you close your account:
- Your subscription is canceled immediately
- No further charges will be made
- No refunds are issued for unused time in your current billing cycle
- Any outstanding balance must be paid before closure

Can I reactivate my account after closing it? No. Account closure is permanent. If you want to use Viewers again in the future, you’ll need to create a new account from scratch.
Will I get a refund for unused time? No. We don’t issue prorated refunds when you close your account. If you’re considering closing, you may want to wait until closer to your next billing date.
Can I just delete my leads without closing my account? Yes. You can delete individual leads or bulk-delete leads from your dashboard without closing your entire account.
What if I have team members on my account? When you close your account, all team member access is revoked immediately. Consider notifying them before you close.
How long does deletion take? Account deletion is immediate. Your data is permanently removed from our systems right away.
