The Share module lets visitors email a page to themselves for later. It’s like a bookmark that lands in their inbox - a simple way to save your page when they’re not ready to buy, sign up, or reach out yet.
This module is available on all plans, including Free.
How It Works
When a visitor clicks on the Share module:
- They enter their email address
- They receive an email with a link to the current page
- You capture their email in your Viewers dashboard
- You now have a lead who’s interested enough to save your page for later
People do this all the time - they find something interesting but aren’t ready to act. Instead of losing them forever, the Share module captures their email and gives them an easy way to come back.
Configuration
The Share module has no additional settings to configure. Simply enable it in your module selection when generating your embed code.
To enable or disable the Share module:
- Log in to your Viewers dashboard
- Go to Configure → Embed Code
- Check or uncheck Share in the Modules section
- Copy your updated embed code
- Replace the old embed code on your website (manual installs only - WordPress plugin users don’t need to do this)
Why Share Module Leads Are Valuable
Share leads signal a specific type of intent: “I’m interested, but not right now.”
These visitors:
- Found your page valuable enough to save
- Gave you their real email (they want to receive the link)
- Are likely to return when the timing is right
- Are open to being nurtured
This is a warm lead who just told you they’re not ready yet. That’s valuable information - and an opportunity.
Pairing with Automations
Share leads are perfect for follow-up sequences. They’ve already told you they’re interested - now nurture them back.
Send a friendly follow-up: Set up an Email Message automation with a message like:
“I saw you saved our page for later - I do this all the time too! Just wanted to reach out and see if you have any questions. Happy to help whenever you’re ready.”
It’s casual, human, and acknowledges what they did without being pushy.
Add to a nurture sequence: Sync Share leads to Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign and enroll them in a drip campaign. Send helpful content over the next few days or weeks - stay top of mind until they’re ready.
Tag them in your CRM: Push Share leads to HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive with a tag like “saved for later” or “nurture.” Your sales team knows these leads need a softer touch.
Send a reminder: Use an Email Message automation with a 48-hour or 72-hour delay: “Just following up on that page you saved. Let me know if I can answer any questions.”
Fire ad conversions (with caution): You can track Share submissions as conversions, but these are earlier-stage leads. Consider whether you want ad platforms optimizing for “saved for later” intent or harder conversions like Contact Us.
Best Practices
Don’t be aggressive: Share leads aren’t ready to buy - that’s why they saved the page instead of contacting you. Pushy follow-ups will backfire. Keep it friendly and helpful.
Acknowledge what they did: Your follow-up email can reference the action: “I saw you saved our pricing page for later.” It feels personal and relevant, not like a generic blast.
Provide value in your follow-up: Don’t just ask if they’re ready to buy. Share something useful - a guide, a tip, a case study. Give them a reason to engage.
Use delays strategically: An immediate follow-up might feel creepy. A 24-48 hour delay feels more natural - like you noticed and followed up thoughtfully.
Consider the page they saved: A visitor who saves your pricing page has different intent than one who saves a blog post. If you’re using Zapier, you can route leads differently based on the page URL.
What Visitors See
The Share module presents a quick, simple experience:
- Headline: Offers to email them the page
- Email field: Where they enter their address
- Submit button: Sends the page to their inbox
- Confirmation: Confirms the email was sent
The email they receive includes the page URL they were on, so they can easily return later.
Tracking Share Leads
Share leads appear in your dashboard with the module type share. The question field shows which page they emailed to themselves (e.g., “Emailed page: https://yoursite.com/pricing”).
You can:
- Filter your leads list to see only Share submissions
- Set up automations that only trigger for Share leads
- See which pages people are saving most often
- Analyze the
page_urlto understand what content resonates
